Lala Motorsports Sets Sights on New Jersey and Mosport

ASPEN, CO (May. 1, 2009) -

As the presenting sponsor, Lala Motorsports was excited for the Long Beach Grand Prix and for the No. 9 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe to compete against the GT field. However, during qualifying, the No. 9 sustained damage. With only five hours between qualifying and the race, the car could not be repaired in time for the start of the Long Beach Grand Prix.

"Under normal circumstances, the Alchemy crew could easily have gotten the car back together and ready for the race, but with such a short time frame we made a team decision to withdraw the car and get everything prepped before the car headed east for the next two races,” driver Gunter Schaldach said.

The crew of Alchemy Motorsports used the week following Long Beach to repair the damage to and prepare the No. 9 and second team Viper. The team has focused their efforts on preparation for the next two events: New Jersey and Mosport Victoria Day Speedfest Weekend.

“After the events at Sebring and the DNS at Long Beach, we are eager to get out and prove what Gunter and the car are capable of at New Jersey and Mosport,” said Tyler Brower of Alchemy Motorsports.

Schaldach added, “I look forward to New Jersey and getting some points behind my name.”

With two identical cars now ready to go, the Lala Motorsports team has a Dodge Viper Competition Coupe available for rental and support. Contact Lala Motorsports or Alchemy Motorsports Group for more information:
